Day of Caring 2008

This years theme of the United Way Day of Caring was Come Together and that is just what the Union Foundry Company Team did as they volunteered their time on March 28, 2008 to make minor repairs, paint, clean and wax floors for Sister Mary Roy at the All Saints Interfaith Center of Concern. Over 400 volunteers worked at 30 local non-profit agencies logging an incredible 2,500 work hours! Each year an outstanding volunteer is nominated by their peers who went above and beyond and exceeded expectations. This year UFCO was well represented with two nominees, our Plant Engineer David Cleveland and Danny Dickerson of the Core Room. It was Danny Dickerson who earned the award for 2008 out of 13 other nominees! Congratulations Danny!
