Tyler Union consists of two foundries in the United States, one located in
Tyler, Texas and the second located in Anniston, Alabama.
Tyler, Texas, home of Tyler Pipe Company, was once an agricultural community. While agriculture still is important, industrial development now contributes much to the city and its progress. Part of this development has come from Tyler Pipe, whose predecessor company was organized, in mid-depression 1935. Tyler Pipe is owned by McWane Inc., a private company located in Birmingham Alabama.
Union Foundry Company located in the city of Anniston in the Appalachian foothills, began operating in 1911. Anniston became known as "the City that lights the world" when the lamp posts produced at UFCO lit Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House to the Capital in Washington, D.C. Union Foundry, now part of McWane, Inc., makes ductile iron pipe and utility fittings.
