  • 2017 McWane Quartile Club

    This award is given to facilities whose year-end recordable injury rates are in the top 25% of their industry. The Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) is determined by taking the number of incidents occurred in a year’s period which require medical treatment, restricted work activity, or lost time and multiplying that by 200,000 and dividing by the total number of hours worked at the facility during the year

  • 2016 Outstanding Environmental Progress-Foundry Award - Tyler Union

    Tyler Union was awarded the McWane Outstanding Environmental Progress -  Foundry Award for 2016.

    The following factors are considered in the selection process for the current calendar year using the previous calendar year as the baseline:

    • Progress on successful completion of audit and other corrective actions
    • Improvements in overall compliance status
    • Improvements in relationship with regulators (local, state and federal)
    • Changes in quality and amount of resources applied to environmental management

  • AFS Millionaires Safety Award

    Tyler Union was awarded the AFS Millionaires Safety Award for achieving 2,000,000 man-hours without incurring an occupational injury or illness resulting in days away from work.

  • Industry Excellence Award for Safety

    Tyler Union was awarded the Industry Excellence Award for Safety by the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce.

  • United Way of East Central Alabama Silver Award for Outstanding Service to the People of Our Community

  • 1st Place McWane Ergo Cup Competition

    Tyler Union advanced to represent McWane in the internationally recognized ErgoCup® competition, sponsored by the Ergonomics Center of North Carolina and Edward P. Fitts, Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at North Carolina State University. This competition provides an exciting opportunity for companies to highlight their successful ergonomic solutions. The general theme across all ErgoCup categories is innovation.
