Tyler Union going above and beyond for customers

From time to time a facility will receive that frantic call from a customer requesting a miracle and if at all possible we try to make it happen.   Pictured here is a 36” x 24” FE L/R 90 Bend produced at Tyler Union.  This fitting was made for a plant job in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that fell under a 100% domestic specification.  After initially ordering the wrong casting, the customer called back needing a miracle, requesting to have this casting produced in six weeks!

The team at Tyler Union immediately got to work designing the new fitting and set up short cycle tooling and a new flask to run this item on the IMF Fast Loop Line. This is the largest casting ever made at Tyler Union and it required them to build a molding flask to the maximum dimensions of the line.

The Tyler Union team not only accomplished this miracle within five weeks, they delivered the finished product to the customer early.  That’s the kind of ingenuity and commitment to customer service that customers have come to expect from Tyler Union.
